Why isn't the final bone in my Blender IK chain recognized in the glTF export?

I'm exporting an IK rig from Blender to glTF and noticing that the last bone (the one highlighted in yellow in Blender) isn't recognized in the viewer.
Do I need to add both a target bone and a helper bone for it, or is there another step I'm missing?
