Vote to Remove the 18-Month Contribution Requirement in DEP 12

I am requesting a vote from the @steering_council to update DEP 12’s language regarding candidate eligibility.

Currently, it states:

I propose changing it to:

This revision removes the requirement that the contribution history begins 18 months before candidacy, which has been a blocker for some nominees. I believe this change will help us attract a wider slate of qualified candidates.

Should we adopt this wording change into DEP 12 immediately? I vote +1.
