I’m starting this thread to share meeting notes from the Django Software Foundation’s board meetings for anyone interested in staying updated as they become available.
If you want notifications, use Discourse’s per-thread “Watching” and “Tracking” options at the bottom of the page. You can also choose to set the thread to “Muted” if preferred.
For broader info on the board, see What does the DSF Board Actually Do? by @wsvincent in 2022.
The board meets monthly on the second Thursday of every month at 20:00 UTC. All board members are expected to attend, with the DSF Assistant to the Treasurer joining as well.
Each meeting follows a set agenda with portions dedicated to “business as usual” and “new business” topics, including assignment of action items based on discussions.
At the meeting’s conclusion, the DSF Secretary (that’s me ) publishes the meeting notes to the Django project website.
For past meeting minutes, check out:
If you read these notes, I’d love your feedback on their usefulness! Please share any questions, suggestions, or comments regarding any unclear points or proposals for process improvements.
Transparency is key: these meeting minutes help ensure board accountability, as board members are elected by DSF Individual Members. While I might not have all the answers immediately, I’m happy to engage and discuss further.
