How Can I Customize the n8n UI from a GitHub Clone to Reflect UI Changes Like a New Logo?

Hi n8n community,

I cloned the n8n repository from GitHub to customize the UI, for example by updating the logo (such as changing logo-icon.svg). However, after modifying the files and rebuilding the project, my changes aren’t showing up when I run the container.

It appears that the UI assets might be fetched from a Docker Hub repository, which could be why my local modifications are being ignored.

Could someone explain the correct process for customizing the UI and deploying the modified version? Specifically, I need to:

  1. Modify UI elements (like the logo)
  2. Ensure that my changes are applied when n8n is running

Any guidance or documentation references would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.
