I attempted to have ChatGPT optimize a schedule bar chart from a spreadsheet I provided. In our conversation, after I shared a Google Drive link, ChatGPT suggested converting the file into a text format (such as a WORD document). However, when I followed this suggestion, it said it does not have the ability to access external links or documents, including spreadsheets.
Additionally, when I mentioned providing feedback to the developers for this feature, ChatGPT stated it couldn’t pass on the suggestion.
Are there any current plans or workarounds that might allow ChatGPT to access shared documentation, including e-form documents?

ChatGPT currently does not have the capability to access external documents, links, or drives (like Google Drive), nor can it directly read files such as e-forms or spreadsheets. This means:
No Direct Access to Shared Documentation:
ChatGPT can't open or interact with files hosted on external platforms. Even if you provide a link (e.g., to a Google Drive file), the model won't be able to access it.
Text Input Only:
In order for ChatGPT to work with your data, you need to copy and paste the relevant text content directly into the conversation. This ensures that the model can process and respond to the information provided.
Limitations on Feedback:
ChatGPT is not designed to relay developer suggestions or feedback to OpenAI, so it cannot "suggest" improvements on its capabilities.
These design choices are in place to maintain privacy, security, and control over the interaction scope. If you need help with document content such as a schedule bar chart from a spreadsheet or any similar task, the best approach is to convert or copy the necessary information directly into text form within the chat.
